Gouaches No. 3 is believed to be related to Krasner's WNYC mural. . Gouache Nos. 2, 3 and 5 are also thought to be studies for an unidentified mural design for the W.P.A. Krasner's association with the American Abstract Artists group can be seen in these bimorphic designs, thought to be based on a still-life motif.
