From the time he was accepted to a summer art program at the Rhode Island School of Design at age 16, Hamptons native Tom Dash has been creating art in a wide range of mediums, from painting and photography to sculpture and installation. After spending a number of years in Portland, Oregon, where he co-founded the Dos Mil Gallery, Dash returned to the East End of Long Island in 2004, where he still lives today. From 2005 to 2011, he served as the lead studio assistant and fabricator for Richard Prince. Here, he discusses his current show at Mark Borghi Fine Art in Bridgehampton — including several pieces on display at Borghi’s booth at ArtHamptons.
